Tips
This layout is two separate circuits, which is what makes it different from every other kit we sell:
- The rhythm circuit runs off the slide switch on the upper bass bout, with its own volume (1M-LIN) and tone (50K-LIN) thumbwheel rollers. It uses the neck pickup only.
- The lead circuit is the one most builders think of as “normal”: the 3-position solo switch, volume (1M-LIN) and tone (1M-AUD).
- The two knobs on the lower horn are the lead circuit only. If you wire them as though they were the kit’s only controls, the rhythm circuit will not work.
- Every ground goes to brass shielding, not to the back of a pot as on most of our kits.
- Wire colors may vary between kit batches — match by position, not color.
