- The P-pickup (split single-coil) gives a thick, punchy tone. The J-pickup adds brightness and definition. Blend both for versatile bass tones. Note: this diagram shows 2 volume pots — if your kit has only 1 volume, wire the pickups in parallel to the single volume pot.
- Wire colors may vary between kit batches — match by position, not color.
